Common claims and how to check them
A useful claim identifies its source, date, network and evidence. Separate what has been announced from what has been enabled, deployed or independently observed.
Three things to know
- Find the original document instead of relying on a screenshot.
- Check whether the claim concerns Ripple, XRP, XRPL or an unrelated project.
- Write down what the evidence leaves unresolved.
A practical example
“A feature has a specification” is different from “the feature is enabled on Mainnet.” Check the amendment’s current status before repeating the second claim.
Technical detail
Record the exact URL, publication date, relevant passage and scope. For on-chain evidence record network, transaction hash, validation status and result. A single event cannot establish sustained adoption or identify a counterparty without additional evidence.
Common misunderstanding
Many repetitions of the same unsupported statement are not independent confirmation.
